Wednesday, May 21st, 2014
Adrian, who is in Team GB’s world class squad for paratriathlon, joined the group of intrepid cyclists on their 30km early morning ride from Ashford International Station to Lankelma’s head office in Iden on 21st May.
Lankelma is helping to fund Adrian’s training, to help him achieve his goal of qualifying for the 2016 Rio Paralympics, which will feature triathlon for the first time.
Lankelma Managing Director Eric Zon said: “It’s fantastic that Adrian has been chosen for the development squad and we are delighted that our sponsorship will help a local athlete achieve his ambitions.”
Adrian Heathfield added: “I’m very happy to support Lankelma in its efforts to get staff onto their bikes instead of driving to work – although I think they may be looking to make their regular cycling commute a bit shorter!”
