On behalf of BAM Civils, we performed a CPT site investigation at Little Cheyne Court in Kent. The area is open and windswept, suitable conditions for an efficient wind farm. 26 wind turbines stand 70m from the ground, to the mid point of their hub, and a total height of 115m above ground level with their blade at the highest point.
    
     
             
  
  
The first visit was in 2006 for a preliminary SI, with 7 CPTs to an average depth of 20.85m. We finalised the SI in 2008!  - Over a period of 16 days we performed 79 CPTs to a maximum depth of 35.72m using UK15, our new track truck. Testing was completed easily within the time allocated by the client.
